According to EuropeanVoice.com Süddeutsche Zeitung
reports that Sweden, which holds the presidency of the EU, sent its ambassador in Teheran to the swearing-in of Mahmud Ahmadinedjad as president of Iran.
Also PressTV reports:
Representatives of individual European states and the Swedish EU presidency will take part in the Iranian president’s swearing-in ceremony, […].
I couldn’t believe it when I read this earlier tonight. After all the reports about assault, torture, rape and killing… After all the pictures and films where you can see the committed crimes with your own eyes… After all the demonstrations we Swedish-Iranians have had each and every day… THIS is what Swedish government does?
What I really feel about our Minister for Foreign Affairs right now is not suitable to publish, so I’ll stick to “Shame on you Carl Bildt” even though that is a huge understatement.
I thought Sweden had learned something from its spinelessness regarding Nazi Germany, but apparently not.
Big demo Wednsday morning 9 o’clock outside house of parliament (Mynttorget in Stockholm) and Gustav Adolfs torg in Gothenburg and Malmö (sorry, don’t know the location).
Just found this on Batebi’s Facebook: Raw version of a film I published here June 17.
Got an e-mail from AISA (Association of Iranian Students Abroad):
I suggest that we react strongly against Sweden presence at the Iranian presidential ceremony! Call and send e-mails and letters to the government, the parliament and also the EU-information office.
The text below is a template for this pupose:
Dear Carl Bildt,
We are informed about that you have decided to represent the EU at Iranian presidential ceremony.
As you know Ahmadinejad is not selected by Iranian people in presidential election. People have had many protests in Iran against cheating in election, and more than 50 people have been killed and more than 300 people have been arrested by Iranian regime after election.
It’s really disappointing to hear that Sweden is going to attend the Ahmadinejad’s presidential ceremony.
I as an Iranian student want to tell that if you respect to human right you should stand with Iranian people in practice.
Don’t support dictatorship in Iran.

Carl Bildt bloggar ju.

Sveriges ambassadör i Iran deltog visst i ceremonin. Synd och skam.

Jag såg det.
Hej,
