IMPORTANT! The Army of the Guardians is on its website [www.gerdab.ir] trying to identify and catch demonstrators. 
But there’s a way to stop them: If a large number of computers visit a website they can make the server crash. This is easier done with ”page reboot” which lets you refresh a webpage every second. Then you just keep your computer on all night!
But you have a be many, thousands, in order för this to work, so SPREAD the word!

There seem to be s more programmes and sites for this purpose.

 

Update: Page reboot doesn’t seem to work, they seem to have blocked access from that site. I emailed pratebay.org, awaiting answer from them.
Please come with suggestions if you are computer savvy. I heard that there are programmes with which you can controll your mouse, so you make a macro and refresh the page that way, but I can’t find such a programme for mac and the programmes for PC I can’t try out.

 

Update II, another solution (for Firefox). And it works! (Thanx Johan)

 You can use Greasemonkey for Firefox instead.
1) Download this addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748
2) Install this script for Greasemonkey: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/22832
3) In Firefox choose Tools > Greasemonkey > Manage User Scripts…
4. Add the link to the Guardians website to the field Included pages to the upper right.
5. Make sure Greasemonkey is enabled.
6. Go to the Guardians website and hit F5 or reload and the script should ask you how often you want the page to reload. Enter a low number and start it!

 

In the mean while, page reboot works on other sites:

Update june 27, (Thanx ”H”)
First install the Greasemonkey as described above. Then disable the cache reading in your firefox. This change forces the firefox to download the contents of a homepage from a server and not from the cache memory.

1. Enter ”about:config” at the location bar and press enter. If you are using Firefox 3 then you’ll see a warning page, just click ”I’ll be careful, I promise” button.

2. In the filter bar enter the word “cache” and change following strings to false

privacy.item.cache
network.http.use-cache
browser.cache.offline.enable
browser.cache.memory.enable
browser.cache.disk_cache_ssl
browser.cache.disk.enable

3. Change the value of fallowing strings to a very low number

browser.cache.disk.capacity
browser.cache.offline.capacity

4. To also disable the DSN cache: right click at the blank place and select ”New” -> ”Integer” (heltal på svenska)

5 Enter ”network.dnsCacheExpiration” as the preference name and ”0″ as the integer value

6 Right click and select ”New” -> ”Integer” again, this time enter ”network.dnsCacheEntries” as preference name and ”0? as integer value

 

FOR INTERNET EXPLORER FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
1. Turn off the cache: from menu bar click on Select Tools -> Internet Options. Open ‘General’ tab.
2. In ‘Browsing history’ area click ‘Setting’ button.
3. Choose ”Every visit to the page”
4. Change the value for ”Disk space to use” to a low number.
5. Click OK to exit
6. Download the AutoRefresher for IE by Yoconsoft http://download.cnet.com/AutoRefresher-for-IE/3000-12512_4-10062693.html
7. On the free space on the menu bar right click and choose ”RefresherBand Class” and choose ”enable”
8. Click on the new button that appears that says “No Refresh”
9. Choose your preferred interval
